One of the highly anticipated phones to be released this year, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is set to be released in April, 2012. Along with the iPhone 5 it makes 2012 an exciting year for smart phones and the countdown till the Mobile World Congress begins. Despite rumors saying the phones will feature at the Mobile World Congress in late February, this seems unlikely but its still something to watch out for.
Samsung Galaxy S3 specs
The latest news comes from Eldar Murtazin, a well respected Russian Blogger dubbed by Engadget as the ‘James Bond’ of smartphones. Eldar Murtazin tweeted ‘HD resolution, 12 mpx camera, sw tweaks, android 4 – i like my new phone. Eager to see official announcement in Barcelona’. This confirms the rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will feature a high definition resolution and a 12 mega-pixel camera.
Rumors have it that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will likely be identical to the Samsung Galaxy S2, just like the Apple iPhone 4 and 4S scenario. Will this make people dislike the Galaxy S3? Eldar stated that the Galaxy S3 would run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich including Samsung’s own TouchWiz. He also said something unusual, he stated that there would be two versions of the Samsung Galaxy S3 one with a dual core and one with a quad core, not sure why Samsung have done this, but I could only imagine how much cheaper the dual core version would be. Despite the big screen and low resolution of the previous Samsung Galaxy, Samsung has said to up the Galaxy S3 to a HD Super AMOLED plus display with an increase in resolution for a much better screen.
